What is hopwood pennsylvania?

Hopwood is a small unincorporated community located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated approximately three miles southeast of Uniontown, the county seat. Hopwood is primarily a residential area with a few businesses and restaurants scattered throughout. Its location along U.S. Route 40, also known as the National Road, made it an important stop on the route in the early 19th century. The community is home to the Laurel Highlands Middle School and Laurel Highlands High School. Hopwood also provides easy access to attractions in the surrounding area, including Ohiopyle State Park and Fallingwater, the famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed house.
